Shell has been helping customers with their environmental product requirements since 2003 when the first emissions trading scheme was set up in Europe. With regional hubs in London, San Diego, Shanghai and Singapore, they are one of the largest environmental product traders in the world, operating in compliance and voluntary emissions markets globally. They offtake, develop, trade, market, optimise and hedge environmental products to meet their customers’ current and future needs. They also supply a variety of voluntary carbon credit solutions to meet the needs of customers who have decided to reduce their net carbon footprint.
Shell came to us in the need to raise awareness of this business with the goal to encourage businesses to sign up to voluntary compensate emissions with Shell. They also wanted to become the ‘go-to’ organisation that has the knowledge and expertise to help businesses in the energy transition and also to demonstrate credentials and substantiate their existence to prospects.
Working with partners from around the business, we organised a content workshop with interviews to understand their needs and what they wanted to say and to whom. We also conducted a keywords audit to see where the opportunities were to raise the profile of Shell Environmental Products. From this initial strategy, we helped the business create a number of key website pages within Shell.com and also developed a number of iframes to bring the pages to life.
Added to that, we helped script and coordinate an exciting animated film to highlight the importance of Environmental Products to potential customers to help regional sales teams profile the business.
